The EAGLE Premier Door combines all the benefits of a wood and steel entry door, but eliminates the drawbacks associated with both. Consisting of a steel exterior, a foam-filled core, and a real wood interior, with the EAGLE Premier door you can enjoy the benefits of wood and steel all in one beautiful product.
EAGLE's Premier Entry Door System Fact List:
• Doors are 1-7/8" thick and are formed with 24-gauge galvanized steel and are then insulated and sound-deadened with an environmentally friendly solid urethane core blown at a density of 2.0–2.5 lbs./ft.3. The door is then formed utilizing an exclusive unitized two-piece steel construction for strength and durability.
• Premier doors are fitted with a 4-1/4" x 11" solid core wood lock block. Edge of door at lock block accepts a standard 1" x 2-1/4" rectangular face latch bolt or round latch bolt.
• Premier doors have 12-gauge galvanized steel plates located at each hinge (three per door) to allow for fine adjustment after door is in place without removal of door from opening.
• The interior of a flush door is covered with an 1/8-inch, 3-part wood veneer. Embossed doors are cut out from the interior and a solid wood stile and rail and veneered panel system is placed inside the door. An 1/8-inch, 3-part wood veneer is then adhered to the interior perimeter of the stiles and rails.
• Interior wood veneers are offered in seven different wood species ready for staining and varnishing: pine (standard), oak, fir, cherry, walnut, maple, and mahogany.
• Door bottom sweep weatherstrip retainer is roll-formed from 22-gauge hot dipped galvanized steel and mechanically fastened to bottom member. The exterior surface receives a factory finish for added protection. The primed surface is suitable for painting.
• Vinyl, six-finger bottom weatherstripping fits securely into the threshold channel for a weathertight seal and can be replaced without removing the door. Advanced foam compression, perimeter weatherstripping provides an airtight seal to keep out water and air.
• Door frames are available in primed wood or heavy-duty extruded aluminum-clad, which is available in EAGLE's 50 standard exterior colors.
• With 17 style options for doors, eight for sidelites, and for transoms—too numerous to count, EAGLE's Premier Entry Door System allow you the flexibility of combining different styles to create a custom door combination to suit your taste.
